New Aston Martin spy shots taken in Italy seem to confirm the speculation that the DBS replacement may be called the Vanquish — just check out the emblem on the back of the coupe below.
The uncovered Vanquish looks nearly identical to the red AM310 concept Aston debuted during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este two weeks ago, which itself resembled the camouflaged Aston Martin we had earlier spied lapping the Nürburgring.
Styling on the new Aston Martin Vanquish remains evolutionary, with design cues from the limited-production One-77 supercar and the Virage. The new Vanquish has aggressive hood vents and lower front air dam. Curvaceously creased front and rear fenders contribute to a long and low look. Out back, the tail finishes off with a larger, more pronounced spoiler integrated into the trunk lid and rear fenders while dual exhaust tips peek through the rear diffuser.
Expect the upcoming Aston Martin Vanquish to debut with an extensive use of carbon fiber and an improved version of the 5.9-liter V-12 producing more power than the DBS’ 510 hp.
