It seems that the TT in TT RS might stand for Track Toy. Raeder Motorsports, in partnership with Audi, will take the praised sports coupe racing this season with a bevy of enhancements to the road-going TT RS.
This TT RS based racer is ready to tear up the track with modifications to its chassis, aerodynamics, brakes, suspension, and perhaps most importantly, 2.5-liter turbocharged I-5 engine. Make no mistake, this is no slightly beefed-up road car. Raeder’s TT RS is born to race. According to Raeder, there are even some parts incorporated from the Audi R8 LMS customer race car.
While Raeder and Audi both remain vauge about the changes made to the car, this TT RS is already looking forward to its maiden race at the Endurance Championship Nürburgring series in the SP 4T class. The car will be piloted by professional racers Marc Hennerici and Christopher Mies.
While this racing TT RS won’t likely make its presence known on U.S. soil, a road-going 360-horsepower TT RS will be headed Stateside next year.
