We’re only halfway through 2010, but we’ve already been treated to a full rundown of the 2011 Infiniti lineup. Want to know what Infiniti has in store for its G, M, EX, FX, and QX ranges before they reach the market? Read on to find out.
2011 Infiniti EX
Infiniti’s smallest crossover receives some powertrain updates, but not underneath the hood. The 3.5-liter V-6 remains the sole engine offering, but it’s now mated to a seven-speed automatic on both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive models.
Base EX models now receive dual zone automatic climate control as standard equipment, along with new 18-inch wheels and tires, and new electroluminescent gauge lighting. Product planners have also shuffled the option packages for 2011, adding the blind spot warning system to the Technology Package, combining the Navigation Package with the Around View Monitor Package to create the new Premium Package, and offering 19-inch wheels in the new Deluxe Touring package, which was formerly known as the Premium Package.
Confused? Consult a dealer this fall, as the 2011 EX should arrive in showrooms come October.
2011 Infiniti FX
For the most part, the 2011 FX35 and FX50 soldier on unchanged from 2010, although Infiniti did make a few cosmetic and content-related tweaks for the new year. A power liftgate will become standard equipment, and both five-spoke, 20-inch aluminum wheels and black lacquer trim will become standard equipment on the FX50.
Miss the 2010 FX50′s maple interior veneers and the larger 21-inch rolling stock? Don’t fret — both are available in what Infiniti calls the Deluxe Touring Package, which also includes aluminum pedals. Navigation has now been lumped into the FX35′s optional Premium Package, while a new color — Malbec Black — is available on both FX models. Look for the revised range to hit dealers in October.
2011 Infiniti QX
For 2011, the QX nameplate abandons its Armada roots, and moves to a modified form of the Nissan Patrol SUV sold elsewhere around the world. A 5.6-liter direct-injection V-8 delivers both 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a standard seven-speed automatic transmission. Infiniti offers only two model trims of the QX, allowing it to offer both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive forms of the big people mover.

2011 Infiniti M
Like the QX, Infiniti’s large sedan is completely overhauled for 2011. The boxy, muscle-bound exterior of the last-generation car has been eschewed in favor of a curvaceous, graceful exterior form.
In the M37, power comes courtesy of the 330-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6, but speed junkies may prefer to opt for the M56, which uses a 420-horsepower V-8. A seven-speed automatic is standard, while all-wheel-drive is optional. An M35 Hybrid model is destined to join the lineup later in 2012.

2011 Infiniti G37
We know a new expansion for the G range is due to launch later this summer, but even the existing G37 cars — including the 2011 G37 sedan, 2011 G37 coupe, and 2011 G37 convertible — receive a few new touches.
Miss out on the 2010 G37 Sedan Anniversary Edition? Don’t fear — the same package, including the exterior aero kit and dressed-up interior, is now the Limited Edition model, albeit it receives a different paint color. If you’d like the same upgrades but with a different color, opt for the Sport Appearance package, which adds larger wheels and the aero kit, but allows you to pick any paint color, including the new Malbec Black and Lapsis Blue hues.
In addition to the new paint options, the 2011 G37 Coupe’s exterior is further revised with the addition of subtly revised front fascias. Customers in cold climates will be happy to learn that the Sport package can now be paired with all-wheel-drive. G37 Sport models equipped with the six-speed manual transmission will also find navigation as standard equipment, while all coupe models will receive a range of new 18- and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
Changes to the 2011 G37 Convertible largely mirror the coupe, save for a new Limited Edition model, which adds mirrors the Limited Edition G37 sedan model.. G37 Convertible Sport models with manual transmissions also receive navi at no extra cost, while front fascias on both Sport and non-Sport cars are mildly revised.
