On any given day, press releases touting everything from new cars to aftermarket parts to “lifestyle accessories” turn up in the Automobile inbox, and many don’t make the grade. Once in a while, though, one stands out from the rest, and today we bring you the Blacked-Out Pony Car Shootout.
This particular press release came by way of Rocket Racing Wheels, which is releasing a new line of “Rocket Booster” wheels designed specifically for the modern muscle car trio: the Chevrolet Camaro, the Dodge Challenger and the Ford Mustang. Normally, aftermarket accessories have to be particularly cool or unusual to get air time, but Rocket sent along three pictures of their wheels mounted to the muscle cars that we deemed worthy.
We here at Automobile Online are partial to the Challenger, but now it’s your turn to vote. Which of these three murdered-out muscle machines would best scare small children in your neighborhood? In case you’re interested in the wheels, Rocket Racing Wheels offers the “Rocket Booster” line in 18- and 20-inch sizes with bolt patterns and offsets specifically tailored to your muscle machine of choice. The lightweight aluminum rollers are available in Gloss Black, Chrome, Hyper Silver and Hyper Shot (as seen on the Mustang) and are designed with the smallest lip possible to maximize viewing of your high-performance brake setup. I pick the 2010 Ford Mustang GT500, although the Camaro SS would have benefited if equipped with a T-Rex grille in black billet.

My vote is on the Challenger my friend nods to that agreement also. I would love to own a SRT Challenger if not a RT will sit just fine lol. Car is so hot…
I would say the Challenger if it wasn’t for that gaudy billet grille. If the bowtie were deleted on the Camaro, I’d say that one, but as they are, the Mustang wins hands down.
Never been prouder to be an American!All three cars are absolutly gorgeous. I would murder my mother in-law to have any of them. I think Im going to have to go with the ‘Stang on this one but that by no means even hints that the Challenger and Camaro are not also the hottest cars out there. WOW!
