It seems Pininfarina isn’t the only design firm seeking to wish Alfa Romeo a happy 100th anniversary by means of a show car. Stile Bertone revealed it will present a new Alfa-based concept at this year’s Geneva motor show.
Sadly, that’s about all it revealed. We’ve only been handed this official teaser sketch, and were told the car will be built upon the already awesome 8C Competizione. We can expect it to be a rear-wheel-drive sports car, likely with the 8C’s Maserati-sourced 4.7-liter V-8, but anything else — apart from the sinister fascia shown here — is anyone’s guess.
Like Pininfarina, Bertone’s history has long been intertwined with Alfa’s over the years, as the company helped shaped iconic vehicles like the Montreal, Giulia, and the famed BAT concept cars. Stile Bertone’s revival was punctuated in 2009 with the BAT-11 concept, an 8C-based throwback to the BAT cars of the ‘50s.
