People who can afford supercars don’t typically play around with online configurators. They, or their representative, enjoys an expensive glass of liquor with the dealer and the exact car they want shows up. Even if they buy one off the floor, they do it in person. When you spend this kind of money, you want to know what you’re getting. The fact that Lamborghini put up even a rudimentary online configurator, then, is a bit surprising, but certainly welcome.
If you’re used to using configurators on cars you can actually afford, you’re in for a surprise. About the only thing you can actually manipulate with this system is the body color. Otherwise, it’s mostly just a flashy brochure for the new car and noticeably lacking in pricing information.
