Snap Judgment: Which Lotus Concept is Best of Show?

At the 2010 Paris Motor Show, Lotus took the opportunity to unveil no fewer than five concept cars. That’s a lot for any automaker, but particularly significant for Lotus, which currently has a lineup of just three models for sale in the United States.

Lotus’ showing at Paris is a collection of models designed to help reinvent the brand through innovative styling and implementation of advanced technology. The five concepts shown in Paris, which range from brand-first styling exercises (the four-door Eterne) to revivals of classic nameplates (the Elite, Esprit, and Elan), to updated models from the current lineup (Elise).

The models shown in Paris are purported to use Toyota-sourced engines, as do the current models, and Lotus has designated each one a distinct purpose and market target. They bear a familial resemblance as updated by new design director Donato Coco, but which one is your favorite? Is the Eterne a stretch too far? Do the coupes look too similar on the outside?
