My, how time flies on the Internet. Earlier today, we were treated to a brief sneak peek of the 2009 Audi TT RS, the forthcoming uber-TT. Now, we have another chance to look at – and hear – the hottest TT yet.
We wish this new photo wasn’t as cryptic as the previous shot, but Audi’s at least kind enough to give us a front view this time around. It’s hard to glean much, but we’re already bracing ourselves for some major rhinoplasty. Not only are the front air ducts larger and styled after those on the R8, but we’re expecting a gaping grille up front. Audi seems to have tucked the bumper brace behind the new mesh insert, as opposed to breaking the entire grille into two sections. We’ve added a shot of the 2009 TTS’ proboscis (at left) for your own analysis.
Although Audi is somewhat mum about the new 2.5-liter turbocharged I-5 that will lie underhood, it has released an MP3 audio file of the TT RS being put through its paces. The file doesn’t tell us much about the car, aside from the exhaust carries a deeper timbre than that of the TTS.
