2012 Nissan Gtr Leak Front Rear

More 2012 Nissan GT-R information contiunes to arrive via GT-R Blog, this time indicating that the new Spec M — the “gentleman’s GT-R” — will cost around $177,000, or 15,000,300 yen.

That price point puts the luxurious, highly-customizable (in terms of available colors and options) R35 under the top performance Spec V (15,750,000 yen/$186,115) and the FIA- and Super Taikyu-homologated S-Tec GT-R racecar (23,000,000 yen/$271,787). Rumor has it that the special edition will come to the States, but those who may be interested better get their order in quick — only 30 example are said to be made. Sales are expected to start this December in Japan.

Below the Spec M — which, according to our sources, will have a mix of Spec V and Premiumcomponents — reside the exclusive track-only Club Track edition (10,479,000 yen/$123,828), Premium (9,450,000 yen/$111,669), Black (9,303,000 yen/$109,932), and Pure (8,694,000 yen/$102,735).

We previously reported that each Spec M will have a hand-built interior filled with Alcantara, premium leather, and of course, loads of carbon fiber.

The enthusiast blog reports that Nissan will announce the Spec-M this October 18 and will debut it at its global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan on November 17. All 2012 GT-Rs (model year 2011 in Japan) also carry a new model designation — DBA-R35 — in place of the current CBA-R35.

But wait, there’s more. Sources have revealed the Spec M’s supposed color options. Our man in Japan saysOpal White serves as the base paintjob, with each color sprayed on in three coats and is of a higher grade than the Spec V’s. For reference, the U.S. market 2011 Premium trim is available in five exterior colors with a choice of two died leathers.

Exterior:

- Ultimate Metal silver (KAB)
- Ultimate Opal White (QAG)
- Nebula Opal Black (GAG)
- Vibrant Red (A54)

Now before you choose you own color combo, it’s important to note until we hear official word from Nissan this should be taken with a grain of salt. We expect more intel to come, so stay tuned…
