If you’ve been squirreling away pennies to buy the 2009 Nissan GT-R of your dreams, keep scrimping.; Effective today, Nissan has raised the base MSRP of both the GT-R and GT-R Premium models by almost $6000.
As a result, a base GT-R will now run you $76,840, while the Premium model stickers for $79,090.; In comparison, before the hike a GT-R went for $70,850, while the Premium car carried an MSRP of $72,900.; That represents a $5990 jump for the standard GT-R; a $6190 jump for the Premium.
So where’s the extra money going?; Nissan claims the price increases will offset a rise in raw material costs, although a specific breakdown hasn’t been offered.
If you’ve already ordered your car, you may be in luck.; If your GT-R has already been shipped to the dealer, it will still be sold at the original price point.
