Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Ford, and Lincoln have announced recalls that will begin as soon as November 1.
2007-2010 Suzuki SX4
The Problem: The rear view mirror could fall off, reducing visibility. The problem stems from three screws that secure each rear view mirror to the mirror base. Due to vibration, the screws can become loose.
The Fix: Dealers will replace the base screws on both rear view mirrors. Suzuki hasn’t announced when the recall will begin, but owners can contact Suzuki at 1-887-697-8985.
Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 69,587.
2006-2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor
The Problem: Endeavors with manual air conditioning may cycle from hot and cold air, and the air flow from the vents may randomly change direction. Defroster performance might also be affected by the incorrect heater controller signal.
The Fix: Dealers will see if there is any damage and, if necessary, repair the mode door shaft. The recall is expected to begin in December.
Number of Units Potentially Affected: 19,410.
The Problem: 2011 Ford Edges and 2011 Lincoln MKXs made from July 1 to October 8 were shipped with incorrectly configured electronic module settings that don’t allow the liftgate to lock using interior lock switches or remote key fob buttons. As a result, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says, the crossovers don’t conform to a federal safety standard called “Door Locks and Door Retention.”
The Fix: Dealers will have the affected control modules updated. The recall is expected to begin on November 1.
Number of Units Potentially Affected: 71.
