Ford’s 100-year relationship with the U.K. started with the revolutionary Model T. Ford U.K. is commemorating the centennial with a special edition Ford Fiesta dubbed the Centura.
The Fiesta Centura will be available only in Panther Black metallic. The paint choice harkens back to the the Model T’s color palette which, according to Ford was “any color so long as it is black.” The single paint choice was just one display of the Model T’s efficient and streamlined production methods.
Additionally, the Ford Fiesta Centura will come standard with LED daytime running lights, exterior chrome accents, 16-inch alloy wheels, and reverse back up sensors and camera. The U.K.-spec Fiesta is normally available with a wide choice of diesel and gas engines, but Ford will stuff the Centura with one powertrain only; the budget and fuel-friendly 1.25-liter gas engine, rated at 81-hp.
The Fiesta Centura is set to go on sale later this month with a starting price of $21,692 for the three-door variant, while the five-door is priced $972 higher.
