Though perhaps not the first spokesperson you’d think of for the rugged, outdoorsy image of Jeep, Lenny Kravitz is nonetheless an avowed fan of the brand, and a longtime Wrangler owner himself.
“In my experience this is the perfect partnership for me,” said Lenny Kravitz. “The Jeep Wrangler is a rugged classic. I’ve been driving the same one for 16 years and I refuse to get rid of it – If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
The national advertising campaign will feature one of the rock star’s newest tracks, “Rock Star City Life” while Kravitz is shown romping through mud with the new Wrangler. Viewers will have a chance to listen to the new track from his highly anticipated album “Black and White America” before it comes out this summer.
The campaign will launch two commercials, one called “Extraordinary Adventure Swamp” and “Swamp Thing” on May 12. Both will debut the new track. This campaign stems from the brand’s previous successful campaign for the 2011 Jeep Compass. “Bloodline” featured the off-spring of legendary and famous parents who carved their own path which aligned with the creative platform for the 2011 Jeep Compass.
