Hyundai Reveals Custom Genesis Prada Model

Should the devil drive Prada, perhaps this could be his ride. The Hyundai Genesis Prada model, unveiled at this week’s Seoul motor show in South Korea, is reportedly modified to suit the tastes of Prada’s CEO, Patrizio Bertelli.

External changes include a matte midnight-blue paint, which is accentuated by a brushed titanium finish applied to most metal surfaces. The Genesis’ grille, emblem, and door handles differ, as they’re plated in a matte gold finish. The titanium-finish 20-inch wheels and roof antenna are also bespoke to the Prada model.

Inside, the Italian leather maker eschewed Hyundai’s materials in favor of its own wares. Most of the Genesis’ interior, including the seats, center console, and dashboard, is bathed in Prada’s signature Saffiano leather. Trim pieces sport a piano black finish, further enhancing the interior’s two-tone motif.

Hyundai plans on building only three examples of the Genesis Prada. While the show car will remain with Hyundai as a demonstrator, the last two will be auctioned off for charity.

The Audi bignose looks worse than all of them put together.

That grill design looks better than Lexus GS or Acura TL. Name “Prada” itself elevates Genesis status one level higher in terms of prestige… KUDOS to HYUNDAI.

Still has that ugly grill design. Then again, that’s the only thing that makes it’s overall design stand out from the North American Accord/BMW 5 series/et al styling. Don’t get me wrong, this car is a stunning achievement for Hyundai, it’s just not a breakthrough design by and measure. The Prada leather is nice though.
