Hennessey Hpe700 Camaro

Remember Hennessey’s plan to stuff the LS9 from a new Corvette ZR1 into a Camaro? Well, the tuning firm managed to strap its HPE700 mega-muscle car to a dynamometer, and the results are nothing short of impressive.

As the name suggested, the tuned Camaro is rated at approximately 700 hp, but when measured at the rear wheels, the car is still good for a whopping 645 hp. Torque measured at the rear wheels is a chunky 653 lb-ft, and we love how it seems to be delivered across a wide RPM spectrum.

All this power will cost you, however. Only 24 HPE700 Camaros will be built, and each is expected to carry a price tag of approximately $109,000. To watch the dyno run for yourself, click here to jump to Hennessey’s YouTube video.
