Fans of the much-awaited Gran Turismo games are one step closer to playing the fifth installment of the racing simulator. Available for download on December 17, a demo of the game will allow players to compete for an awesome prize package in a time trial.
To drum up excitement for the upcoming release of GT5, Playstation is holding a gaming contest on its Playstation network. On December 17 Playstation owners can download the free demo for the upcoming full version of GT5. The competition will allow gamers to drive a Nissan 370Z in stock and fully prepped race form. Participants will strive to post their best time on the course in an attempt to win the grand prize. What is that prize? It’s an all-expenses-paid trip to the Indianapolis 500 race on May 30, 2010. The trip includes airfare, hotel accommodations, suite tickets, and Victory Lane access.
The competition is open to U.S. and Canadian residents over the age of 18. The person with the best combined time of tuned and stock variants will win. One winner will be chosen from each country. Starting on the day of release, the competition runs through January 25. The game will no longer be available for play at the end of the competition. We hope this means the full version of the game will launch soon.
