Our editors have been plenty busy scouring the show floor of the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show — but in between running to and from press conferences and battling spotty Wi-Fi connections, they picked their three favorite concept and production cars at the show.

CONCEPT CARS:
Peugeot HX1
Wagon + diesel + gorgeous, perfectly executed surfaces = way too cool.
Kia GT
Clean, sensuous, and gorgeous. Wow. I’m loving what the international design team is doing to shake up the Koreans. It can’t be easy for them.
Citroen Tubik
A funky retro bus based on the old TUB and H vans, with small exterior and massive interior volume. What can I say: another diesel hybrid.
PRODUCTION
Volkswagen Golf R
4Motion all-wheel-drive and a stick. This is a real VW, something like what we tell them to build and bring to the U.S. all the time.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Raodster
It looks like pure white hot sex. I rode in it at Pebble Beach; it’s absolutely cozy inside with the top down.
Ford Focus ST
This is a robust platform that spins off one interesting car after another, and this particular car adds an exciting twist to one of our favorite nameplates. The new ST is heavily anticipated by enthusiasts around the world; from what we’ve seen thus far, it will be worth the wait.
