Feature Flick: Zagato’s Viper-Based TZ3 Stradale Goes For A Spin

Don’t believe Zagato can wrap such a pretty Alfa Romeo-esque body over the mechanicals of a Dodge Viper ACR? Well, here’s your videographic proof.

The lucky folks at Japan’s CarGraphic magazine recently set foot in Zagato’s Milan factory to photograph the new TZ3 Stradale alongside its inspiration, the Alfa Romeo 8C-based TZ3 Corsa. Underhood views and, of course, exhaust notes are also included for your amusement.

Purists may scoff at the idea of affixing Alfa Romeo labels onto a Dodge-based product, but to be honest, it’s a far better attempt to Fiat-ize an existing Mopar product than, say, the Fiat Freemont.

What say you: is the TZ3 Stradale a great way to share an outstanding design with more (i.e. nine) buyers, or is it nothing short of brand bastardization? Send us your thoughts in the comments section below.

Mopar Man
This is where Fiat will succeed and Benz failed. They used what they had. They improved the models and reused some of the stuff they already had. Think of a Ferrari V8 in a Viper body with the name Alpha Romeo on it. Smart thinking.
