Feature Flick: Subaru BRZ GT300 Hits Track Wearing Pride on Its Sleeve

The Subaru BRZ GT300 just debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show days ago, and although it was quite a sight, we had yet to see it in its natural habitat – until now. The GT300 wears its pride on its sleeve as it walks the walk on the track.

The GT300 roars to life as the red push-start button is pressed, the headlights come on, and the slick Yokohama tires begin to roll. But before this Japanese gem came to be, we’re given a look at the team of experts gathered around a BRZ clay model, sharing ideas and sketches on how to make it a bona fide beast.

Keep watching as GT300 lays it down as it beams down the track, gets sideways, and teases us with slow motion shots of all its curves and goodies, but don’t get too excited just yet – the goods under the hood are still kept a secret. Being that it is competing in the GT300 class of the Super GT series, it will have a 300-hp limit (100 ponies more than the BRZ production car), and we expect to see at least one turbo bolted on to the 2.0-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine when more technical information is revealed.

Does the GT300 have something to be proud of? Check out the video below.
