You’ve already heard that Peugeot’s wild electric EX1 concept car managed to set a new EV lap record at the famed Nürburgring — but, at long last, the automaker has finally rolled out footage of its electrified accomplishment.
To jog your memory, the EX1 — which was first unveiled at last year’s Paris Motor Show — looped the Nürburgring last week in 9 minutes and one seconds, posting an average speed of 86 mph. That bested the previous EV lap record — set by a modified Mini E — by almost 50 seconds.
Having stunned showgoers and smashed lap records, is production — even in limited volumes — the next frontier for the EX1? Peugeot isn’t talking, but it’d be neat to have yet another electrified sports car on the market.
