Chances are you’ve already seen it on our home page – but there’s more to our story than celebrating the advancement in carbon fiber bodied automobiles becoming increasingly mainstream. It also gave us an opportunity to drag race four of the most exotic machines available to mankind on an open airstrip.
So what did we have to play with? Our comparison involved the McLaren MP4-12C, the Lexus LFA, the Lamborghini Aventador, and the big daddy, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. We started off by pitting the eight-cylinder McLaren against the 10-cylinder LFA; the winner of that match would then be pitted against the Lambo. In turn, we took the victor from that second round and had it square off against the almighty Veyron.
Does any car manage to trump the hallowed Bugatti? Do any vehicles truly surprise in just how quickly they move through the quarter mile?
