Feature Flick: Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Lands in Death Valley on Epic Drives

This week’s episode of Epic Drives features Motor Trend contributor Arthur St. Antoine exploring the wilds of the Mojave Desert and Death Valley behind the wheel of one of our favorite trucks, the 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.

St. Antoine begins at the site where conspiracy theorists suspect the moon landings were faked, due to the inhospitable environment and its extraterrestrial appearance. Next, St. Antoine turns his rig toward Nevada, where he visits a ghost town named Rhyolite and encounters a freak snow storm. St. Antoine then takes the Raptor back to Death Valley, where the rig takes him to the lowest point in the United States.

The Raptor finishes up at the El Mirage dry lake bed. Unlike the last time Motor Trend took a Raptor out there, St. Antoine unfortunately can’t make any high-speed runs due to rain, and a watchful MQ-1 Predator drone.

Check out the latest episode of Epic Drives below. Where would you take a Ford Raptor on an epic drive?
