Feature Flick: Donut Lessons in a 2013 Shelby GT500

In this episode of Wide Open Throttle, Jessi Lang teaches an automotive newbie the ins and outs of driving a manual. But that’s not all: Lang also helps him learn the art of making donuts. The student car? The 2013 Shelby GT500.

The 662-hp beast can get unruly if not treated correctly, which makes it more difficult for Lang’s student, Mark, to learn how to drive a stick. Lang starts by teaching him how to let off the clutch slowly while giving the car gas, telling him to keep an eye on the rpm gauge. Mark gives it a go, and after he gets more comfortable with that, Lang turns off traction control for a little donut action.

Lang kicks up tons of smoke and shreds the GT500′s tires, but will Mark be able to do the same? Find out by watching the latest episode of Wide Open Throttle below.
