Cadillac also is hopping on the Super Bowl bandwagon, and will use this weekend’s football game to promote the all-new 2013 ATS. The ad shows a prototype version of the ATS driving on the Nürburgring, often nicknamed “The Green Hell”, in order to highlight the sporty and import-beating dynamics of the new Cadillac sports sedan.
The ad draws much of its footage from “The Journey”, a web series in which Cadillac documented the development stages of the new ATS. The commercial explains that the ATS was designed to take on (and beat) the BMW 3 Series, showing the car lapping Germany’s famed ‘Ring while being tweaked by engineers.
“So, if anyone tells you that Cadillac can’t beat the world’s best,” the voiceover says, “Just tell them to go to ‘Green Hell.’”
