Feature Flick: Aston Martin One-77 Goes For a Drive in France

There hasn’t been much news about Aston Martin’s halo car, the One-77, in recent months. With a price tag of roughly $1.5 million and only 77 units slated for production, you’d think the British manufacturer’s latest supercar would still have the auto world buzzing. Aston apparently wants to remind us that the One-77 is still around – and still way cool – in this video.

Filmed in Le Castellet, France, this footage of the steroidal Aston comes complete with an appropriately jazzy soundtrack, in addition to the One-77’s own throaty V-12 rumble. The One-77’s 750 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque from its 7.3-liter V-12 make quick work of a windy mountain road, rocketing it up the hill with ease. The Aston’s jaunt ends at Paul Ricard Circuit, famous for hosting the French Grand Prix among other high-profile racing events, as the supercar drives through the track’s entrance.

Although it’s not the all-out Nürburgring test video you may have wanted to see, the short clip does give you some idea of what the car can do. And if Aston’s plan with the video was to keep us talking about the One-77, it clearly didn’t fail.
