While most of us would prefer to celebrate achievements with cake or candles, Alfa Romeo decided to celebrate its MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde by popping water balloons – some 2500 of them.
Alfa’s MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde is a hotter version of the existing MiTo GTA, and packs 170 horsepower under the hood of the front-wheel-drive hatchback. To give the Quadrifoglio Verde a bit of a splash, the company staged 2500 water balloons – cutely arranged to look like the Alfa badge — tossed the keys to stunt driver Terry Grant, and filmed as he slid through and popped as many of them as possible. When he finished, Alfa secured the Guinness World Record for most water balloons popped by a car (yes, that’s apparently a record) and a rather entertaining video.
