Feature Flick: 2013 Mini Countryman John Cooper Works Gets Risky

The Mini Countryman has gone from roly-poly cute to more aggressively athletic now that it’s been adopted under the John Cooper Works name, but just how much higher is its performance now? Watch the 2013 Mini Countryman John Coopers Works at play in the video below.

The new ad titled “Expect the Unexpected” shows the black and red JCW Countryman exhibit bad behavior while it tears up dirt, asphalt and snow, and while seeing it kick up rocks and spray snow is expected, what comes later on is a bit more surprising.

Apparently, the Countryman JCW is much faster with its 30 more horses that it has the ability to make men fly.  Well, at least that’s the message we think this ad is trying to portray. What we do know for sure is that you probably shouldn’t try this at home.

Watch the 2013 Mini Countryman John Cooper Works in the video below, and let us know what message you think is coming across with the ad.

When is a Mini not a Mini? when burdened with 2 extra doors, an extra axle and about a thousand pounds of heft tacked on. Still, compared with most SUV's over the last decade it's twice as efficient, equally capable and closer to X5's and Cayennes at a much lower entry cost.
