Feature Flick: 2013 Cadillac ATS in Final Stage of Tuning

General Motors has a lot riding on the 2013 Cadillac ATS, as proven by the series of videos the automaker has released chronicling its development. Now, it looks like the work is almost done.

GM just released the third installment of “ATS: The Journey” and, like the previous videos, this one is shot on Germany’s famed Nurburgring race track. By the looks of it, the ATS is just about ready to take on the compact luxury market. The video features a GM driver putting the baby Caddy through the ‘Ring while he narrates and explains what makes the track so iconic.

Some of the turns are just as challenging to maneuver as they are to pronounce, like the Schwalbenschwanz, which just one of many high-speed hairpin turns. Unlike the prior videos, there are no shots of engineers scratching their heads as they attempt to calibrate this or tune that; it’s all track. There are also plenty of shots taken from inside the ATS, revealing what appears to be the interior’s final version. How do you think it looks? Sound off below.

We’ve also included the first two videos in the four-part story. The final video will be shown the ATS reveal at 2012 Detroit auto show in January.
