Fashion Hurts? British TV Star Katie Price to Paint Her Bugatti Veyron Pink

We know that it’s hard to be a celebrity—flashing lights, public scrutiny, tons of critics—so we’re pretty lackadaisical when it comes to famous people making blunders. But when a famous person goes ahead and ruins a supercar or two? That’s where we draw the line.

The latest celebrity to make questionable vehicular choices is British starlet Katie Price, who regularly goes by the name Jordan and has been a topless model, book writer, and television star since 1996. Price tweeted earlier today that she’s come into possession of a Bugatti Veyron, and she intends to color match it with the rest of her expensive car fleet.

Now, celebrities do this all the time and it usually isn’t a problem (American rapper Birdman paints all of his cars bright white, for an example). The problem is, Jordan’s favorite color is bright pink. No joke: Price’s Veyron 16.4 Coupe, with red body panels and a silver roof and bumpers, is going to get sprayed the color of Pepto Bismol.

Price says that she’s already dropped the car off at Project Kahn, the British tuning house famous for some other, erm, fashionable offerings. The Sun also reports an anonymous source said “she will anger petrol-heads worldwide by turning such a beautiful, iconic machine bright pink.”

Well, perhaps. Yes, the Bugatti Veyron is an iconic machine and an instant classic, and it will probably look terrible in pink. But we are talking about a Veyron, the vehicle which was once painted and trimmed with porcelain to look like a teacup. The car that is regularly chrome-plated. The vehicle that has been painted in something resembling pink camouflage. And yet, we still pine after the Veyron, seeing as its physics-bending performance is left unscathed by questionable cosmetic accoutrements.

So will Jordan ruin her Bugatti by painting it the color of cotton candy? Yes. Will she ruin the Bugatti Veyron in general? Doubtful.
