Ward’s Auto tweeted that Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, confirms production versions of the Gucci-branded Fiat 500 and the Dodge Charger Super Bee.
The 500 by Gucci debuted earlier this year at the Milan Fashion Week, and then thrilled high-fashion lovers when it appeared at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in a dedicated Gucci pop-up store housed within Fiat’s display stand. The special 500 by Gucci, available in black or white pearl paint, is accented with the Gucci’s signature green-and-red pinstripe wrapping around the car, seats, gear shift, key cover, and seatbelts. For a little more added flair, the signature interlocking “G” emblem is embossed on the leather seats.
The automaker and fashion label collaborated on the chic hatchback in honor of celebrating the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification and 90th anniversary of the clothing brand, making fashionistas look forward to driving in style with the Gucci-accessorized 500, first in Europe, and now stateside.
The last generation Dodge Charger SRT8 model delivered more naturally-aspirated horsepower-per-liter than any vehicle Dodge had offered before it, with a 6.1-liter, 425-horsepower HEMI V-8 engine. The Dodge Charger Super Bee, with a limited-production run of 1,000 special-edition models, showcased a unique Detonator Yellow exterior paint and a flat-black SRT hood accents as some of its features. Having gained so much popularity, a limited production run of another 300 Super Bee models in Plum Crazy exterior paint arrived at the end of the 2007 model year.
The Charger SRT8 just keeps getting better, with the 2012 models packing a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 for added power, but also improved efficiency, thanks in part by the addition of Chrysler’s adaptive valve exhaust system and Fuel Saver technology. More aggressive styling on the new Charger promises to make the new Super Bee look more like a killer bee.
