Although GM didn’t bring the car to its press conferences, the new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Synergy Edition — the second special-edition Camaro thus far — will make its debut during the public days of the 2010 Detroit auto show.
Like the Camaro Synergy concept shown at last year’s SEMA show, the production car’s hallmark feature is the vibrant “Synergy Green.” Patterned after the “Rally Green” color used on the 1969 Camaro, the color carries through to the interior, where it’s applied to a wraparound band, and used for highlight stitching on the steering wheel, shift knob, and seat fabric.
Camaro Synergy models also receive 19-inch wheels, “Cyber Grey” rally stripes, and the connectivity package — which includes Bluetooth phone connectivity and a USB audio input — as standard equipment.
All Camaro Synergy models will be built upon a 1LT model, which means it will only come equipped with the 304-hp, 3.6-liter direct-injection V-6. A six-speed manual transmission is once again standard, although an automatic is optional.
Synergy cars with manual transmissions will start at $26,790, slightly higher than a comparably equipped 1LT model. Chevrolet has yet to set a production total, but does note Synergy models will only be built between February and May.
