Leonard Yankelovich is a fan of all extremes when it comes to cars: whale penis foreskin leather, a diamond-encrusted armored SUV, and a high end camera system (8 to be exact) for safe parking. Now, the Russian founder and owner of Dartz Prombron, has teamed up with Gray Design to produce what it calls the world’s first armored sportback.
The 2012 Dartz Prombron Nagel, designed specifically by Eduard Gray, ensures maximum security and peace of mind, as it is built on the Dartz Prombron vehicle using the world’s safest Soviet military “Capsule” technology—all while hauling a yacht. Reportedly packing a whopping 2000 horsepower underhood, the Nagel allegedly provides a smooth ride when towing yachts up to 5 tons, and most importantly, protection against mines and bombs that one may be unlucky enough to encounter on the way to the marina.
The Nagel was built in honor of Andrey Nagel (the first Russian to win a Monte Carlo Rally title back in 1911) and to commemorate Monaco’s yachting tradition. This yacht hauling tank is set to launch sometime in 2012.
To paint a better picture of who exactly is behind these beasts on wheels, we’ve included video of the brilliant Yankelovich. He speaks in his native Russian tongue about his outstanding creations stemming from days of drinking liters of vodka, to comparing “other” armored cars to breast implants in words we couldn’t have said better ourselves. Enjoy.
