We know, you’re already committed to watching tonight’s episode of “How I Met Your Mother.” But we’d recommend tuning into the National Geographic channel instead. Do so, and you’ll be treated to an episode of “Ultimate Factories” showcasing Audi’s R8 assembly line in high definition.
If other episodes of “Ultimate Factories” — which showcased the handicraft behind Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and the Chevrolet Corvette — are any indication, expect this episode to be chock full of behind-the-scenes access, recorded entirely in high-def. Producers spent a considerable amount of time documenting the R8’s build process in the company’s plant in Neckarslum, Germany, but also shot the sexy sports coupe being flogged by the company’s chief driving instructor, Paul Gerrard.
