Bandits Run Again
Last spring, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the movie Smokey and the Bandit, an intrepid group of Pontiac Trans Am owners and fans of the movie got together to road trip from Texarkana to Atlanta, the same trip taken by the Bandit and the Snowman in the film. The success of that first Bandit Run has spurred a sequel, this time with a new route that goes from Columbus, Ohio to Charleston, West Virginia, to Bristol, Tennessee (and the Bristol Speedway), and winds up once again in Atlanta at the Year One Experience car show. The dates of the Run are May 13 to 16, and you’re free to join for all or part of the action. The event is open to any make of car, not just Trans Ams. S
