Audi’s Facebook page recently posted an album containing photos of some custom-colored R8s specified by customers through Audi Exclusive, the German automaker’s custom design shop.
Two exterior combinations are shown: Saddle Brown for the body with Magnolia White on the Sideblade, giving the supercar a Bentley-esque feel; and a more sporty Misano Red paint with Carbon Fiber Sideblades. But the customization doesn’t stop at the exterior – the interior can be specified to the owner’s taste as well.
Four different interior shots have been posted: first up is Cognac Brown fine Nappa leather with Crimson Red stitching, for that rich-luxurious look; followed by a shot of a customer’s car sporting Classic Red fine Nappa leather seats with Alabaser White stitching; for a more formal look Black fine Nappa leather with Cognac Brown fine Nappa leather for the seat inserts, lower door panels, and floor mat piping has also been specified; and last but not least one customer has ordered Saddle Brown fine Nappa leather with Magnolia White stitching with Magnolia White carpet and floor mats with Saddle Brown piping for an airier feel.
Not all color combinations will appeal to everybody, but for customers about to drop more than $114,000 on one it is nice to know the “affordable” supercar doesn’t have to look like the one down the street.
The full “Exclusive” package (custom paints, leather colors and types) is only available on the S8 and R8, however custom paints are available on other models as well. Some paint options for certain models are limited to colors in Audi’s paint palette that aren’t normally offered on that particular model or market; other models can have custom colors requested. The customization is available through Audi Exclusive through the dealership.
If you could have any color – inside and out – on your own R8, what would it be? Let us know in the comments section below.
