As Audi wants you to want its new A3 TDI, the automaker recruited rock band Cheap Trick to craft the soundtrack for its new Super Bowl ad blitz.
The ads revolve around a so-called “Green Police” (Audi wants you to remember the diesel A3 can be rather green), so Cheap Trick was called in to re-record an alternative version of its hit song “Dream Police.” You may think it’s odd to hear the line “the green police / they live inside of my head,” but seeing as a few of our staffers have been repeatedly humming the tune throughout today, it may be rather accurate…
