This overhead shot is the teaser image of a new Acura that will be revealed at the New York auto show. Unfortunately there was no release accompanying the image.
We can see that the car has two door handles. There are also two cutlines behind the front doors. Could this be for a set of rear-hinged doors? The car appears to have a smooth shape, but that’s really all we can tell from the image.
Although it is hard to tell from this angle, the car in the picture could be the BMW X6 crossover competitor that the company has been testing. Whatever it is, we’ll know for sure when the New York auto show begins on April 8.
A premium coupe is sorely missing form Acuras line up, but I’m very afraid Acura is going to do a “me too” X6 coupeUV.
Please let it be a coupe, please let it be a coupe … no more “coupe-like” crossover SUVs please …
