2011 Infiniti QX56 Hits the Web Ahead of NY Show Debut

So much for an embargo. It seems the first images of the new 2011 Infiniti QX have leaked online ahead of the SUV's unveiling at this week's 2010 New York auto show.

Essentially a revised 2010 Nissan Patrol , the 2011 QX wears Infiniti badges and restyled front and rear fascias. It also receives the contemporary Nissan/Infiniti "helmet" look, courtesy of blacked-out A-pillars.

Behind the FX-esque mask is the Patrol's reworked 5.6-liter V-8, which cranks out 400 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automatic doles the power to the electronically-controlled four-wheel drive system. It's a sure bet the Patrol's hydraulic body control system is carried over into its more luxurious cousin as well.

More details will arrive soon when the biggest Infiniti hits the stage at this week's 2010 New York Auto Show, so stay tuned.
