Can't afford either the Ferrari 458 Italia or Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG? Neither can we, but the long-awaited Gran Turismo 5 will offer us the next best thing -- a realistic drive simulation on our Playstation 3.
Although both cars were just revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, both Ferrari and Daimler have worked with developer Polyphony Digital to include the supercars within the game. From what we can tell from these images, the graphics are quite realistic.
Perhaps also realistic is the waiting list required to get behind the virtual wheel of either car. Reuters reports today that GT5 is not expected to reach stores until March 2010, but with nearly 1000 cars available to choose from and many famous tracks (including the legendary Nurburgring), it will surely be worth the wait.
