2010 Ford Fusion 41 Social Media Program

After its success with the Fiesta Movment, Ford is trying its hand with social media once more with the new Fusion 41 program.

Ford’s Fusion 41 media program is aimed at 2010 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid owners who are excited about their vehicles and would like to spread the news. Eight owners will be chosen based on their passion for their car and their ability to share news via the internet. Each of the Fusion owners will choose four friends or family members to join their team.

Each team is given a 2010 Fusion Hybrid to drive in an automotive relay race, in which each team member must complete an assigned task within 41 hours. The teams will track different competitive variables such as miles driven, stops made, and number of passengers picked up. The winning team will be chosen not based on speed alone -- they also need to log the most blog posts and digital updates online.

“Fusion 41 is a fun way to engage customers and get them talking about the all-new 2010 Fusion,” said Jeff Eggen, Ford Car experiential marketing manager. “There’s no better way to spread the word about our new products than by putting them into the hands of prospective customers and enabling them to experience our vehicles firsthand.”

As with all competitions, there is a prize. The winning team will receive free gas for one year, and the winning Fusion owner will have their vehicle paid off. If you’re interested, check out Fusion41.com for more information.
