Yes, these are merely renderings, but these images are your first glimpse at the next-generation Kia Amanti.
From what Kia's unveiled, its latest flagship will scrap the pseudo-retro form it currently carries, and adopt a taut, muscular shape first seen on the 2009 VG concept. Like both the Forte and Soul, the new Amanti makes use of Kia’s new corporate grille, but many elements of the car (especially the lighting and rear fascia) carry an Audi-esque feel.
Kia hasn’t released details on the new car, but if the specifications hold as true to the concept as the styling seems to, you can expect the Amanti to remain on a front-wheel-drive platform, powered by a V-6 in the 250-hp range.
The new Amanti will be on sale in South Korea later this year, and will reach European and North American markets shortly afterwards.
