Jaguar’s most recent video tease of its upcoming all-new XJ has Ian Callum, the firm’s director of design, talking about the car’s shape.
“The car is very modern,” says Callum, “and it certainly meets up the expectations of people who understand design with a capital D, I have no doubt about that whatsoever.” And from the teaser shots we’ve seen so far, the new XJ really is about three decades ahead of the current XJ design.
Callum claims the car has been styled in the XJ tradition, but the lines have been “reinterpreted” in a manner that is “right and correct for the 21st century.”
Jaguar’s new video shows the same overhead teaser shot we previously published, but also includes a brief clip of the car driving behind some opaque material. If you’re interested and taking another peek at the XJ before its launch, click here to head over to Jaguar’s new XJ webpage.
