Novitec Tridente, a Maserati tuning group that emerged in 2007, has unveiled a tuning program for the GranTurismo S. It includes options for enhancing the Italian sportscar's engine, handling and styling.
Under the hood, Novitec Tridente adds a supercharger to the 4.7 liter V-8 and retunes the ECU. The upgrades boost the power by 160-hp to 600 ponies. The bump in power is complemented by a KW/Novitec suspension and staggered NM3 five-spoke wheels. The wheels measure 20 by 9 inches in the front and 21 by 12.5 inches in the rear.
A carbon fiber aerodynamic kit also is available. The kit includes more aggressive front and rear spoilers, rear deck lid wing and skirt and rocker panel extensions. It can be painted to match the car or is available in the exposed carbon fiber finish.
Novitec may be new to Maserati tuning, but the German firm has been supercharging Ferraris for the past 20 years. This is good news for GranTurismo S owners, considering there aren't many companies that will tune a trident.
