Bentley Continues To Tease Arnage Replacement

We won’t see the so-called “Grand Bentley” until the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, but the British luxury car manufacturer has released yet another image of the Arnage replacement.

As was the case with the last batch of preview photos, this image is intentionally cropped tight, and filled with shadow. Still, it reveals the new sedan will carry a strong, upright roofline, capped by large, thick C-pillars—much like the Arnage and other large Bentley sedans before it.

Bentley remains mum on the subject, but sources suggest the new sedan will share its basic architecture with Audi’s A8 L, and will finally replace the aging 6.75-liter V-8 with an all-new engine.

We’ll know much more when Bentley reveals the car—and its nomenclature—during its 90th anniversary celebrations at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Stay with Automobile Magazine for the latest on the new Bentley.
