By now you've probably heard that Bentley is preparing a new modern flagship to replace the old-school Arnage. Today we bring you the first teaser shot of the "all-new Grand Bentley" (as the company is calling it), released this morning.

As usual, the teaser shot gives us little insight into the overall look of the new sedan. What we can see from the photo is the flagship will feature a long, sculpted hood, large fenders, and, of course, a big prominent grille. Bentley simply says the car will be "exceptional in all respects on the road," and "the purest expression of the Bentley spirit."

The Arnage successor will utilize Audi's spaceframe technology as well as other new engineering techniques to shed weight. It will also get a new engine in place of the Arnage's potent-but-primeval 6.75-liter V-8. Expect the new engine to be E85 capable in accordance with Bentley's biofuel engine theme, which started with the Continental Supersports.

A concept version of the car will be shown at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The current Arnage will be put out to pasture in September, and its successor will go on sale about a year later.
