According to a Lamborghini press release, the four-door Estoque is not officially canceled.

We reported yesterday that the Lamborghini Estoque was canceled due to the economy.  Lamborghini quickly issued a vague press release that confirms the Estoque is not canceled.  The press release also does not say anything about the car going into production.

The press release says “Lamborghini has not taken any decision to produce its Estoque concept car, the four door performance sedan concept shown at Paris motor show in 2008.”  The press release then goes on to say that Lamborghini believes that if a third model is going to be added, a performance sedan could be a logical choice.

The only information obtained from the actual press release is that the Estoque is not officially off the table, nor is it officially set for production.  Lamborghini faithful may be able to take how quickly Lamborghini responded to information about the Estoque’s cancelation as a sign.
