Available engines remain the naturally aspirated or supercharged 4.2-liter V-8. Meaning we are still deprived of the efficient 2.7-liter turbo-diesel that has snagged the XJ the title of Britain's Greenest Luxury Car by the Environmental Transport Association for two years running.
This offering could be a sign that this is that last run of current generation XJs. We've already seen mules of the next generation XJ out testing. It is expected as a 2010 model and will feature the modern edgy style of the XF. It will receive a new 5.0-liter V-8 and an interior that won't look like it was designed in 1960.
