Mini will soon be rolling out the completely redesigned 2015 Mini Cooper, and the brand has released some teaser photos of an upcoming Mini TV spot starring an English bulldog named Spike. The 2015 Mini Cooper will be officially revealed on November 18 in England.
In these TV spots, Spike goes on various adventures with the new 2015 Mini Cooper, including defending the Mini against a Great Dane and getting to know the new features of the redesigned car. Spike has been featured in Mini commercials before, including the recent ad campaign called “Not Normal.”
We already know quite a bit about the new Mini Cooper, as we spied the car nearly totally undisguised earlier this year. The new styling is an evolutionary design, retaining the playful, retro look and proportions of the current car. Up front, the round headlights remain and combine with the oval grille to create the impression of a smiling face. The rear of the car features larger taillights and a slightly more raked rear hatch.
Mini has also announced powertrain details for the new Mini Cooper, which include a 1.5-liter, 134 hp turbocharged three-cylinder for standard Cooper models and a 2.0-liter, 189 hp turbocharged four-cylinder for high-performance Cooper S models. These engines will be paired with either a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.

The 2015 Mini Cooper will also make its U.S. debut at the Los Angeles auto show in November before it goes on sale in spring 2014.
