As Nissan continues to flesh out its new commercial vehicle lineup, it introduces a passenger version of the full-size Nissan NV commercial van. The 2012 Nissan NV passenger van will start at $32,685 (including $995 destination fee).
The 2012 Nissan NV passenger van comes in one configuration, the 3500-series, and is available with two engines and three trim levels. The 4.0-liter V-6 is rated at 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque, while the 5.6-liter V-8 cranks out 317 hp and 385 lb-ft. Both engines are paired to a five-speed automatic that sends power to the rear wheels. Although all models come standard with four rows that can accommodate up to 12 passengers, the seats can be configured in 324 ways. The 2012 NV passenger van is about $6700 more than a base 1500 V-6 commercial van model and just over $3000 more than a base 3500 commercial van with the V-8.
The three trim levels include the base S, which comes equipped with rubber floor covering and fabric seats. The SV adds carpet, while upgrading to the SL means the interior is adorned with leather and carpeted floor mats. All will get rear heating and air-conditioning vents and controls, reading lamps for all positions, cupholders that slide out from under the seats, and side-curtain airbags for all rows.
