Honda today has announced changes for the 2012 Fit, but don’t expect any major revisions for the new model year. For 2012 Honda blessed the Fit Sport with slightly more aggressive styling inside and out, and given all Fit models an updated interior and content.
The big changes on the 2012 Fit can be found on the Sport’s exterior. Honda has fitted the 2012 Fit Sport with a new, more aggressive front grille and bumper, blacked out headlights (replacing the chintzy-looking chrome), and dark alloy wheels, replacing the old silver alloys. The standard Fit doesn’t get nearly the same attention for 2012; the only change to the Fit is the addition of body-colored side view mirrors, replacing the previous black parts.
The 2012 Fit receives an updated interior with new ambient lighting and new center console-mounted cup holders. The Fit Sport’s interior is further enhanced with a sporty-looking (sorry) dark metallic dashboard, and chrome ringed gauges. Fit Sports are also now fitted (OK, I’m done) with standard steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and now Bluetooth, provided you spring for the nav system, as well.
